Why not use the peel520 phone software it will actually even make dial sounds of the #'s everything exactly like an iphone.
You dont need a peel520 installed to install the iPhone software dialer via Cydia will even give you text icon and software.
I use it for real calling with my iPod Touch.
There is also the C Peel.
just install either of them via Cydia or get the .deb phone dialer software from the developer yosion.net and coming.hk website.
Use google translate if needed.

Owning a Mac Pro 1,1 I have found it just as usable on Lion as it is on Snow Leopard (It is still a beta at the end of the day so of course there are going to be bugs).
I would say its pretty safe in support, the only reason Apple are removing support of the older generation is due to the 1st gen Core chips using 32bit architecture. The Mac Pro used a Xeon which shared traits with the Core 2 Duo, hence it is actually a 64 bit chip.

Not sure what to tell you, I had no issues using the MDP to HDMI. I have a bootcamp win7 install.
After installing windows did you insert the mac os cd and update all the drivers?

Went to the online Apple Store (US) to CTO a PB to see how much I would save with the RAM special, and it said 7-10 Days shipping. Combine that with the refurb deals on old iBooks, and the fact that my local CompUSA has NO iBooks or TiBooks in stock, you have yourself some good rumor mongering.

Sounds to me like a dry/cracked solder joint on the deflection yoke connector. Sadly when this happens, it can overheat the plastic plug and cause a "hot join" between the cable connector and the connector soldered to the analog board. The yoke connector is the four pin white connector pictured here (http://www.flickr.com/photos/66071596@N00/347417565/) at the top edge of the board.
On early revisions the pins didn't protrude very far on the solder side and caused a lot of heat dissipation which eventually cracks the solder.
If you know somebody with good soldering skills and have the correct "long reach" torx screw driver (to access two of the four screws under the top handle) then it's worth taking a look.
Try hitting the box at the left side near the top to see if the width of the picture jumps around. If it does, a dry/cracked solder joint is most likely it.
If it doesn't, and it's a thin vertical line (about 1-2mm) then the problem is a little worse. :(

When I dragged the image to my desktop it didn't have a white background so not sure why it would have a white background for you.
Same here. Opens in photoshop with a transparent background already.
Was he just talking about fringe? If so, that can be taken care of with Layer -> Matting -> Defringe.
I didn't really see very much of a white fringe on the original, but there was one there.

Oh, I found out it wasn't an overheating problem. Just that Finder's preferences were on the fritz. I haven't had a crash since deleting them.

Hi. I have a mac mini with Snow Leopard and I read that I should possibly set up a guest account and use that instead of my Admin account. I did this, and a couple of days ago I logged back into my admin account and someone else's desktop was there! I took a shot of a couple of screens. I have sharing turned off but also my Mac has been running very slow. I have Sophos and thought that was the best?

Why do you have to be registered to download the program? I think it's kind of annoying. Is there any particular reason that you did this?

I was having the same issue. So here is what I did to solve it.
Open your top music folder. Probably Music that's in the side pain of finder. Click on the folder "music" and do the get info thing for the folder.
The bottom part should say ownership and permissions, make sure it says read and write. Click the next arrow next to details. Make sure all of them say read and write and that your admin name is next to them. I'm not sure if the lock should be locked or unlocked, I think onceoyu make changes, lock it back up and it should stay.
That's what I did. If you're still having problems, let me know. I don't really know much about macs yet since I'm pretty new.

Did you run disk utility?
I would also delete the screensaver plist file.
Are you using any third party screen savers?

Of the games that I own, all of them use the nunchuck at some level or other. Often it's mainly for the addition of the analogue stick in your left hand, but most make use of the motion sensing also. Warioware even has some two-player minigames that you can play with one wiimote plugged into the nunchuck, so each person holds one like a skipping rope.

You can always try another computer. If your restoring to a custom firmware try dfu mode and if that dosent work pwned dfu mode.

I haven't noticed the issues with my iPad2 or my iPhone4 but there IS a lag on my husbands 3GS ever since he upgraded to the 4.3.1. We've tried restoring and it didn't solve it. He's sticking it out for a couple months and then upgrading.
