Complaint to USCIS...I know of one such body shopper who did the same thing...sold one labor to 10 people...when the fraud was caught...the employer was arresetd and the remaining 9 people who bought the labor were deported out of US...u should get the labor bak in ur name....fight for it...if you think this may bring ur downfall....take down ur employer with u...

How did you people know it is gone to CSC? Did you call CSC to find out or did they send you some kind of letter indicating they have transferred your applications from CSC to NSC??

1. Doesn't matter who it is citizen or not - you have to show legal status. If you read the law carefully, you will be put in a holding prision and given a change to prove legal status (contact family tobring your passport), etc. This is not a traffic stop - a decision will not be made on the stop. That's why there are strict rules stating who can be asked.
2. By law you have to carry identification. Does this mean as a citizen or non-immigrant visa holder, you have to roam with all your docs? No! This is why we fought so hard to make sure US-states give driver's licenses?ID cards to people here legally ONLY. So, you just carry your DL.

You would think you could influence the Americans to support your cause and vote accordingly in the elections. FORGET IT!! Let alone the 2nd, 3rd, 4th.......17th generation American citizens, even the recently naturalized immigrants don't give a crap about us immigrants. The media and the politicians just have a field time with the immigrants (both legal and illegal) and some ignorant and dumb Americans (who don't usually vote) who get easily carried away by the emotions played both for and against immigration.
The serious voters (this has been established by several polls) however, are quite aware that immigrants are not given relief and naturalized overnight and are obviously confident that it could take around 20 years for any immigrant to get naturalized. The issues for these serious voters are: Iraq war, economy (the dwindling housing market?), globalization, gay marriage, abortion, and imports from China.

Since ther is plenty of approval going on everyday.
They are not following any PD for the last 3-months approval, I don't believe any rule they have.Now they are already under pressure , and the pressure started already.They have to clean up.I don't think they will wait untill next year June, since Election is on Sept'2008.

so is it the notice date or recipt date that counts.. If someone filed on July 2nd, but the notice date is August 15, where do I coutn 180 days from.

I reviewed the text of the bill...and, to the best of my understanding, the Dream Act applies to both legal and illegal children. This bill is crucial for me. I am 27 years old and have been in the United States since age 1 (Yes, 26 years)...LEGALLY!!! My husband (i married another visa holder and changed my status about 5 years ago) and I have been pending for a greencard for about 2.5 years now (I'm not counting the other failed attempts)...and still no luck. I completed my bachelors degree in Psychology years ago and cannot work (my field of study is fairly common in the US...nobody I've come across was willing to sponsor for an h-1). Unfortunately, going back to my "home" county isn't an option for me because this is the only home I've ever known. Anyhow, I would really appreciate everyone's support...hopefully this piece of legislation can benefit people like myself and we can contribute to society as well. Thanks!! :)

I do not know how feasible this is, but if in your employment letter, there is a description of responsibilities, and additionally a statement like: "The job being offered to XXX falls under O-NET classification 15-1031," then you are completely covered, because the employer is positing that the job being offered to you falls under that classification. Again, don't emphasize technologies etc., just the job description and mainly classification.
The AC21 language is very clear: "same or similar occupational classification"
It does not say job responsibilities or job title. These are interpretations of that term and used to DETERMINE the occupational classification. So as long as the occupational classification matches or is similar, you should be fine.

Yes, the video was submitted by mbawa2574 before. I also felt better after watching the news on a national TV. I think finally our problems are getting some attention. With the San Jose rally, Flower campaign and hopefully rallies in other cities (which should happen sooner before this issue dies down), we have a very good chance of getting a positive outcome.

Five reasons why I oppose immigration reform bill in its current form.
1. This bill in its current form does nothing to reduce the current backlog of employment based backlog of green cards. This bill infect reduces number of legal immigrant visas from 140000 to 90000 immediately for people who are waiting line legally and been paying taxes and contributing in fields of Computers , technology , pharmacy , nursing.
2. This bill makes things difficult/impossible of renewal of legal visas for me and my sister(both of us are on H1B).This bill changes renewal of H1B from three years to one year even if green card application is pending where as undocumented/illegal persons can renew their Z visa unlimited number of times even if they have no intention of applying for green card.
3. This bill puts more restrictions on H1B visa while awarding Z1 visa for undocumented /illegal persons with far less restrictions. Z1 visa can be self petitioned, they can work for any employer of their choice and job of their choice and they don’t even have to work as long as they go to school. H1B is far more restrictive, H1b visa holder is held hostage by employer and employer has to file the documentation for eligible candidate.
4. This bill does nothing to lift the per country allocation of green cards for legal/merit based applicants of green cards. If merit is the criteria for green card why should it matter what nation one comes from. Amazing thing about this bill is that if you are illegal and have a Z1 visa it does not matter what country you are from, NO COUNTRY BASED CAPS FOR UNDOCUMENTED/ILLEGALS (They are no more illegal because they have Z1 visa)while applying green card.
5. New merit based system that senate is planning to introduce is totally skewed towards illegal/undocumented people as well. Some of the key points, If you have a Z1 VISA(ILLEGAL/UNDOCUMENTED) and own a home you get some points in green card , If you are legally here and paying taxes and own a home you don’t get any points. If you have a Z1 VISA (ILLEGAL/UNDOCUMENTED) and have health insurance you get some points in green card, if you are legally waiting in line and have health insurance for whole family you don’t get any points. If you have Z1 visa (ILLEGAL/UNDOCUMENTED) and you have kids, Kids get Green card in 3 years. She may not get a visitor's visa. Visitor's visa requires non-immigration intent, just like F-1. In your case, there is a very clear intent to immigrate, which may disqualify her from getting a visitor's visa.
OK guys, here is what I think. Being in US on a visitor visa, and then applying for an I-485 does seem like a violation of visa terms, but the other way round seem to be fine. I mean she can apply for an I-485 first in India, and then apply for a visitor visa later while her I-485 application is pending. While applying for a visitor visa she just has to honestly tell the consulate officer that her I-485 is pending and there should be no problems.
If this is not so, then it means that all those who have filed I-485 in their home countries through consular processing route are in effect barred from entering US till some decision is taken on their application. This sounds bizarre. Does not make sense. What do you say?
