My I-140 is approved.
But as per the August visa bulletin all the country visa numbers are U right. The August 17th is just an extension for the July visa bulletin rollback right?

I am not sure what came out of this campaign (I really haven't read the entire thread), but it appears that at first glance, it had to do with limiting EB2s to certain job titles.
I read some posts from the thread you mentioned and i was not able to read it entirely as it was a very long thread. I couldn't figure out what changed with respect to EB2 job zones. I have filed my current perm in EB2 with senior software engineer title and i am not sure what will happen to that. I am in this country for 5 years and still struggling to get my PERM approved (So far i have filed PERM three times :)) Is there anyone in IV who has got their PERM approved with Priority date from DECEMBER 2008 onwards? This will be little encouraging.

No need to worry even if it's warning...
I had a same situation with my wife FP yesterday.
she got warning for 2 fingers........
I asked FP officer why the warnings and does it cause any problems.then
she replied nothing to worry it happens somtimes..
then asked again do we need to comeback again for FP.....
she replied no..not necessary unless and until FBI has any questions...

I know its hard to get it noticed, but in order to make a real impact, we must strive to put this news on the front page of major media, while its sill hot. Last week CNN had an article on the front page regarding the "plight of hindu widows". I was baffled to see an article like that get the headline space and not a small comment from CNN about the JULY VB fiasco.

same here. file AP in August and got receipt. I-485 filed on July 2 and no receipt so far. called USCIS and could not find receipt number for 485.

You can start Greencard application in EB2 after receiving the MS degree in December 2006. H-1B and GC are two separate entities.
any help appreciated. My labor got cleared from BEC. It was filed under RIR category . The minimum req for the job specified in LCA is BS+5 yrs+2 months.Salary is 80k/yr.Does this qualify me for EB2 also the ETA form has my qualification as my BE+MS .Also it specifies my past experience before joining the company. In my previous experience i was promoted and worked in a fortune 500 company .Will this qualify me for EB2. Also i heard that the category is determined in 140 stage.any help .thanks in advance.The occupation code also specifies that 65% or more in this job have bachelors and masters .Also it was mentioned it requires years of work experience for this job.Will this qualify for EB2. I am eager to know as i am from rest of the world and i can file 140/485/ead/ap together now.Any inputs.

EAD is based on pending I-485 and for filing 485, you just need 140 received. So you are OK. My uunderstanding is you can also use AC21 portability after 180 days to change employers as long as your employer doesn't revoke your I-140. So there is that risk with I-140 not approved.
P.S my I-140 app is pending with TSC from May 2006. Almost 425 days plus and still no update/no RFE. Even upgraded it to PP on Jun 18th 2007 but still nothing.
sush, my 140 was filed in 04/2007, i upgraded it PP on exact date 18thJun'07 and my 140 was approved on 26thJun'07. They have to approve 140 PP in 15 calendar ( not business ) days.
but, the PP approval status won't be updated in their website ( case status online ). It still shows mine as 'PP requested'. But my employer got courtesy copy of 140 approval notice in just a few days and a week later my attorney got the original 140 approval.
so talk to your employer and attorney. im sure they must have received it.

joining back to EB2 company is the only option I see. But if EB2 company doesn't exist , this is a unique situation. Talk with the lawyer immidiately.

My 6th year h1b is expiring on April 30, 2008. I applied labor through PERM on October 1, 2007. How to stay legal in this country until approval of 140. Converting to F1 or B2 will cause any problems to green card process. Please advice.
