Yes you are tight. I have an external drive and time machine. I am going to copy the folders to both. I am wondering if after I copy them and then delete them from events if I wanted to use them for Imovie I would be able to imprt them from external drive back to event if needed.
thanks for your patience

For anyone else on here I just found my answer here it is below.
the Wi-Fi radio will power down after 90 seconds, and the hotspot will no longer broadcast its availability to Wi-Fi devices. Just unlock the phone, and navigate to the hotspot settings screen to wake it from its slumber. In testing, I occasionally also had to toggle the hotspot switch to Off and back to On to reactivate it.

Congrats on the new purchase, I too will soon own a powerbook 15". I have used 3 different Linksys wireless routers and have been satisfied with all of them but the last one. The router is not working even though the wireless access is. If you are going to keep a PC handy then you shouldn't have any problems since you can only update firmware on the Linksys through a PC.

As I said in my first post, I like to pay for my music. Artists work hard to make it--not for me to steal but to buy it. That's how I see it.
I've checked Amazon and while the prices are good, they don't have some of the Korean artists I like and am looking for. I'll check out the Zune thing. Thanks and if there are any other suggestions I'd be glad to know about them. :)

Thanks guys, but no luck with any of the tips in those links. It's very strange. I tested the keyboard on my iPad, and it worked perfectly there too, so it's not a hardware issue as far as I can tell.

Finally. I'll be testing it tonight and posting a full report. The 0.10 version was where I started and that had ISSUES... but the .11 has been almost flawless. I'll go grab 0.12.

DO NOT BUY THE SONY.
I like you saw the features and got seduced. but the colour fringing was horrible, the pictures were just not there in comparison to my 400d(KIA). so i returned that and then later on paid the extra for a canon 600d.
its a hairline between canon and nikon. but the canons do better video.
the SLT is a toy - Canon had the same system 30 years ago and they didn't go down that road for a reason.
go for the nikon if thats what your heart tells you. but if your going to buy the sony, get it from the store, cause you will be taking it back.

Thanks for the quick reply :-)
No water indicator has been launched, which i guess is for my advantage.
Since Denmark doesnt really have any Apple store, how would you recommend turning it in, if you have any knowledge in that field? :)

al Jazeera report (http://english.aljazeera.net/news/middleeast/2011/05/201153111651752111.html)
Palestinian factions sign reconciliation deal
Representatives of factions including Fatah and its rival Hamas ink deal following talks in Egypt.
Palestinian factions have signed a reconciliation deal that will pave the way for elections within a year.
Representatives of factions including Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas's Fatah party and its rival Hamas inked the deal following talks with Egyptian officials in Cairo on Tuesday.
"We signed the deal despite several reservations. But we insisted on working for the higher national interest," said Walid al-Awad, a politburo member of the leftist Palestine People's Party.
"We have discussed all the reservations. Everyone has agreed to take these points into consideration," he told Egyptian state television without elaborating.
"Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank will be celebrating this agreement... We must now work to implement what was agreed in the deal."
.....
The deal, which was announced last week, comes after 18 months of fruitless talks and envisions the formation of an interim government of independents that will pave the way for presidential and legislative elections within a year...
Not surprisingly, Netanyahu isn't happy about this, but it's a year for changes in the Arab world

hi,
I try to install a 9,1 GB harddisk to my SE/30 but I just can't get that &%$#^&@ thing to work... :(
the problem is that the computer can't recognize the drive even though several websites say it should work.
I formated the quantum in an beige G3 in standard format (HFS) but it still doesn't work.
- the machine is supposed to run system 7.5
- the HD is a Quantum Atlas V ultra160 SCSI
can anybody help me before I give it to an Apple dealer to have it installed by a technician?
thanks

I am also getting Error 3194 when I try to load the latest 4.3.3 firmware. iTunes goes through the process of backing up the phone and unpacking the update and then throws the error. The phone itself works fine. Somehow iTunes doesn't want to update it. I have tried disabling my antivirus to no avail. The actual updating of the phone never starts.
I have a stock iPhone 3GS, never jailbroken, running firmware 4.3.2 (8H7), Modem firmware 05.16.02.
The only thing unusual is that a few days ago I plugged the phone into my iMac that has XCode installed (I'm not a developer, but used XCode to enable some additional gestures on my iPad). The iMac asked me if I wanted to use the phone for development (like it did for my iPad that I have been able to update to 4.3.3 without a problem). I answered yes and canceled when it asked for a developer ID. I don't know if that could be related to the issue or not.

Thanks, I was aware of that option.
I realized dashcode needs a serious overhaul, to allow it to become a html css javascript editor.
I wouldn't say it needs a major re-do, it already does syntax highlighting.
Anyways, just start a new project. You can then view, open, and edit the individual files of the project by hitting :apple:3

No one got Leopard tonight. I have a feeling that Apple's involvement with delaying shipments to prevent any early ones may have had a hand in preventing our bookstore from selling on time. I'm highly disappointed in Apple.

I just did some limited file movement to confirm it would still recognize the drive without formatting it for the enclosure. I think it is safe to say that it would run slow as molasses over USB versus internal.
I'm curious to see how a TB external with non-ssd drives connected to a MBP run versus internal drives on a MP...got my fingers crossed and hope the drives are the limiting factor.
