With the hard drive going and the lack of more memory, I think you can get around $400. Maybe a little more since she has all the original accessories and box. Good luck! :apple:

i would go with the pro b/c of the greater memory, and more space for the downloadable content on XBL, and plus the HD is 20 vs $50USD for the 64mb memory card.

Yeah Outlook 2011 won't work (the way you want it to work) with Exchange versions older then so your out of luck I'm afraid, unless you want to do pop3 or IMAP.

no not yet, thought i'd run it by this forum first, i do already own guitar rig, but no the mic/preamp. Ideally what i'm looking to do is set up my own youtube page with video and also music of me playing.
The plan is to use the new ipad 2 to record myself in HD,but i've a rather expensive mesa boogie rectifier amp so would like to capture its sound and not a distortion created by garageband, i just want to use garage band for recording and editing the track to fit with the video.
Can you recommond a decent preamp?

We maintain a few computer labs where I work and have some Macs on an Active Directory (AD) domain. The users (mainly students) log in and have their home folder on the network (via smb). It works great; users can take their environment with them wherever they log in and all that jazz.
Is anyone else running such an environment, and have you tried Lion yet? With the way Apple is moving (app store, OS more geared to the consumer) I wonder if these features will remain, or if there are problems integrating Lion into such an environment.
We love the flexibility OS X accords us; we can set up individual machines to either create local home folders for AD users, or use the network home directories, as well as lock down the machines pretty well.
I have not tested in an AD domain, but my understanding is SAMBA is being replaced (http://www.appleinsider.com/articles/11/03/23/inside_mac_os_x_10_7_lion_server_apple_replaces_samba_for_windows_networking_services.html) with Apple's implementation of it.
Using the NT domain controller will not be an option either. Active Directory only. I am not in an enviroment to test for you. Sorry.

^ It would be nice to use the iPhone as a phone, but I already have a Blackberry and pay $35 a month for a killer Sprint plan, so I doubt I would switch.
Some of the apps I have downloaded to the iPhone are...
-Gobo - Set definitions/references
-LVRUSA - Instructions for quites a few popular cameras
-Clinometer - Level app used for syncing shots
-Aja Datacalc - App used for calculating disk space
-Keyframe - Keeps track/notes on shots
-Kodak Cinema Tools - Depth of field calculator for film cameras
-myGobo - Lighting/grip app
I'm currently looking at the MatchLens ($9.99), Toland ASC Digital Assistant ($39.99) & Panascout/Panascout Lite ($9.99 or free).

What about the YouTube app for the iPad?
you could just type in the name of the video and it will show up for you.

AFAIK you can't engrave refurbs though so OP should think that through.
You can't so this is a moot point for the OP.

I've come across my old N64 and now want to spruce it up ready to sell. I was looking at games, then suddenly realised, what format is it? So it's a fully Korean N64, I think it's made in Korea and definitely has Korean writing all over it. I've uploaded the image of the specs on the back:
http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5252/5581585070_1fe09cc4b2.jpg
So does anyone know what format this will be? PAL, NTSC, or some other funny version?

I would say it's probably a good idea to upgrade. It gives you a few days to get used to the new OS and also the opportunity to back up your stuff so you can have your new iPhone just the way you like it on Thursday. I'm not sure if you can restore from backup from 3 to 4. I would assume you could but you may as well eliminate all variables, you know?
Good points everyone, thank you. So I did it last night - took forever to download - but my 7 screens of apps now fit in 2 with the folder set up, and I couldn't be happier.

As stated by spymac: The current iMac line may soon be shaken up and reconfigured, recent rumor and public information suggests.
Just weeks after confirming the discontinuation of the 15" Studio Display, retailers known to Spymac have come forward claiming continued difficulty receiving the low-end iMac CD-RW.
"This is the second delivery in a row that the [iMac CD-RWs] did not come through from Ingram Micro," says one reseller. "They're still available for order but are not arriving."
Although DigiTimes recently reported that 15" iMacs would be discontinued in October, Spymac sources confirmed that none of the other iMac configurations are experiencing ordering irregularities.
Earlier this month, Apple dropped the price of the 15" CD-RW iMac by US$100, bringing its price to $1,199.
"The 17" model continues to sell great," concludes the reseller. "Perhaps this marks the beginning of an additional 17" model to the line?"
Current sources did not immediately respond to questions; more information as it becomes available.
Although I'm not in the market for a new desktop (my 15" iMac is doing fine:D )
I'm excited to see what changes are going to be made to the iMac. I hope the style stays for a while though, I'd hate to see them put out a whole new iMac until mid or late 2003.

Hello-
I am going to go against popular opinion and get the Nano 6 gen. I need something for my triathlon training (not the swimming time). I have heard so many negative things about the new Nano and one being that with some the ear phone jack does not have a good connection. Even people who have not used the ones that came with the new nano.
I have researched the V Modo Vibe (or something like this but not sure how to spell it correctly), the Westone 1, 2, and 3 and several others.
I would appreciate any recommendations for in-the-ear ear phones (the ones that look like saucers that just go into the external part of the ear fall right out no matter how much time I take in trying to get them right).
so with the training my situation has become even more critical to find a good pair of in the ear phones. Money is not an issue (within reason like < than $200).
Some that anybody has had a good experience with I wold like to check out.
finally even know the Nano is really small, I need a pouch type case to put it in. Not sure if they make them since it comes with a clip, but I should at least ask since I sweat tons and that could cause some problems with the ear phone connection (if sweat gets in there).
thanks in advance for any personal opinions I can check out.

You can try booting from a Linux live disk like ubuntu to see if you are able to get a working desktop. You can also use this to check the hard disk and memory.

Awesome at least here in GA it is in a place with seating and a roof rather than people wondering about and jamming into each other to be near the stage while getting roasted by the sun. I might go although I hated every other concert I have ever been to. Except for a classical concert since it had seating.

Thank you very much for your reply.
Does apple provides any checking that only a particular iTunes account details, can download a valid receipt while entering the login credentials.
What will happen when a different user copying the application to other MAC try to enter a different iTunes login details while it popups.

If you spend a lot of time in Premiere Pro you want the Quadro.
Photoshop has an OpenGL mode, but it's off by default and is usually slower, so I would say your card won't really matter for Photoshop.

I use a lot of Adobe CS5 tools, like Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Lightroom and After Effects, I would say mostly Photoshop and Premiere Pro.
I do not have a lot of options for Mac OS X 10.6.7, it could be ATI Radeon HD 5870 or NVIDIA Quadro 4000 for Mac.
I know that the only CS5 application that will really use the CUDA capabilities of the Quadro card is Premiere Pro, all the other applications will use OpenGL.
Based on some quick test I've seen the ATI is around 30% faster in OpenGL than the NVIDIA card.
Any recommendation ?, thanks
