I use FCP7 and 10.6.3.
I have photoshop cs5.
you know when you want to put an image in the bottom of a video such as a logo or something that needs to have transparency, you use a PSD in FCP right? But it needs to be rendered each time. Am I doing something wrong?
The PSD comes up as a sequence in my bin. that right?

Sorry, no. iDisk uses WebDAV for it's connection method, not FTP. IIRC, there are some FTP clients that also support WebDAV, including Transmit, I believe. With one of those, you could work out a solution (many allow for editing files in an external editor, automatically saving changes to the webhost when you save the file in Coda).
And no, you cannot run a Wordpress installation from your iDisk. It doesn't support PHP or any other server-side scripts that would be needed to operate something like that. I think it's possible that at this point you'd be best finding an actual web host.

Its much much easier to edit the content into Wiki format (even if its basically entered as plain text) than having to do all the changes yourself.
Worst case scenario is that a revert has to be done, though it'd be extremely unlikely to happen basically unless the user was deliberately being malicious.
Basically even if you are unsure it'll look perfect (or even OK) edits are always more than welcome.

Oh, will it harm the hardware? I always wanted to try but just afraid that it would hard the speaker. And I meant increasing volume of alarm clock only without affecting the others. As in, separate system something like that. I dont wanna use 3rd party alarm because I heard that they are battery consuming, is that true? Thanks :o

There is money to be made by designing and marketing above average apps. It's not just about coding. There are several 100,000 other apps in the App store competing for visibility and customers. You've got to rise above most of them to make any money.
If you want to play around and potentially make money, play around with coding stuff that no one else is doing, or almost no one else can do or knows about to do, and create stuff that will delight customers (those are Apple's words) when they run across your marketing activities and press releases.
I started by playing around making apps for myself first, until I ended up making stuff that I thought potential customers might find unique and interesting.

Whelp - I have one that I did for a job interview presentation. It was done in Keynote 1, so you have to click everything (no timers). It's also not the frilliest thing in the world, as it was meant to look professional.
It's 8MB. I'm uploading it to my .Mac account for you, but I'm using a modem here. When it's up, I'll post a link.
You might want to take out some slides. Here's what it is:
Topic - discuss (in 45 minutes) the role of assessment in adult graduate and undergraduate education programs.
I took advantage of the Cube effect. It starts by traveling around the Assessment Cube as an introduction, then goes back around the cube with more detailed notes.
Still, most of the presentation was verbal, so there isn't a lot of text there for you to really know what I was talking about, but you'll get the general idea.
I'll post later with a link.

Hello Macrumors,
After a lot of debating here and there about what to buy, i have settled on the MBP 13" i5. I will be upgrading to 8 GB RAM, with a 60 GB SSD in the optibay later on, but first i need to set up my set up.:D
I really want to invest in an external monitor to set up at home, to hook the MBP up to. I want a Dell monitor, for they seem pretty good bang for buck. But i simply cant pick one. I would like anything from 18"-24", from the 120-240 USD price range, but heres the catch, i also really want a USB port, prefferably on the back, not sticking out from the side.
The monitor will be used for all the everyday stuff from time to time, but mainly for photoshop. Im only a student and this is all my money, so im not looking to get a super high quality, extremely high resolution monitor, that the pros use, just a nice little screen i can hook my MBP to. So if anybody has any experiences, preferences, or advice about monitors, please post.
Id also be getting the mStand, beautiful thing, along with great ergonomics, which means id be in need of an external keyboard and mouse. I was thinking magic trackpad? Is it any good for photoshop, otherwise i already have a wireless logitech mouse that i love, or a wired dell mouse, so i dont need the magic trackpad. And for keyboards, again, does anybody have any suggestions?
Thanks for reading the long post, i know i type too much..:P
EDIT: i found this,
http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=biz&cs=555&sku=p20113
and it says it has a minidisplay port. does that mean there are mindisplay port to minidisplay port cables? If so, are they and better than VGA? as in is the quality higher, or smoother, or thers no difference?

Hey guys I'm not all that computer savvy and have run into a problem. I use my Bluetooth keyboard and track pad for my Mac. Every so often I'll play bejeweled on Facebook and like to use my magic mouse for the game, sometimes if my mouse won't connect I'll restart my computer and it will be connected. Well such was the case this morning but after restarting my computer nothing is connected and I can not get any of them to connect. When I open up the Bluetooth window it will show my keyboard and trackpad connecting and disconnecting every few seconds and even if it says they are connected they do not work. Any help on how I can get them connected again? Thanks guys.

If you turn on Home Sharing, you can play anything in your iTunes library on your iPhone without syncing it first. Isn't that sorta the same idea?

You can download custom presets specifically for iPad and Apple TV. A handy guide is here http://lifehacker.com/#!5572037/handbrake-presets-for-your-new-ipad-or-iphone-4
If i want to rip a dvd to play on my ipad and apple tv, do i have to rip it twice with different settings?

I doubt there would be a huge difference, but if you are looking for numbers, the high end 15" MBP has the 6750M in it and there are lots of benchmark numbers for it floating around the 'net. That should give you at least a baseline of what to expect from the 6750m and if that is "good enough" for you, then I would roll with that.
Just my .02 worth.
P.S. Yes I realize that they utilize different processors, and other factors can cause the benchmark numbers to vary, but it is a good baseline for what to expect in the iMac.
Thanks dude. Will go check. Did not realise bout the MBP.

No. Besides, that's just a header file.
