well... i have to imagine that the old orchard lines were similiar to the northbrook iphone lines which were VERY long. and yup i live in northbrook.. why not northbrook court apple store you ask? friend is pissed at em for not servicing his ex-bricked iphone  ... so we'll be heading just a few miles south to skokie. and at 5-6ish, theres still people shopping, not just people eating at the food court (plus its a friday).

If the data doesn't need to be dynamically updated why not just export the data as HTML (write scripts to create these files when needed) and cut out any other database. You could break it into chunks to ease navigation and have a preprepared index page that links to the exported files which you could upload to your website. I don't think it would look that pretty, but would be quick and functional.
That could be a possiblity, simple too. Coupled with a CSS I can try and make it work. Thanks. Willing to accept alternatives too

I used Greenpois0n RC6 for my ipod touch 2g MC model... worked perfectly...
just download greenpoison, run it, then turn your ipod completely off (while plugged in), press start in greenpoison and follow their very simple instructions.
Once done it will reboot the ipod and you'll have a Loader app on your springboard, use that to install cydia
*if the loader crashes (automatically closes when you open it) its because you didnt use the right version of greenpoison. Get the correct one, restore, then redo the jailbreak with the newest version of Greenpois0n

It's logical enough that Intel was considered as an alternative before Apple adopted the G5. Apple has admitted that an x86 version of Mac OS X has been maintained internally since day one.

Yes, congratulations to both! And kudos to Khaldei for being the first member of the team to hit the one million mark. It was close, but you just beat BlackAdder to the milestone...

I don't know if it's part of the problem, but I am using their nameserver as a secondary server.
I hate to do anything to mess it up, but I don't think it's right.

30 August Tuesday - put in an order for over 2000 (which included an iPod and 20" iMac) of goods and was cleared for 10 months interest free credit by MBNA
6 September Tuesday - had heard nothing and in the mean time decided to change some items on the order. Was told that I would have to cancel and begin with a new order and would have to speak to MBNA again. Tried to re-order but got tired of waiting.
7 September Wednesday - decided that I would attempt to re-order. Was successful.
8 September Thursday - received MBNA agreement for my original order that had been cancelled, so tore it up and through it away.
9 September Friday - received MBNA agreement for my second order, signed it and posted. Also contacted the Apple Store to inquire about a confirmation email as I had not received one. Was told that I would get one once finance was agreed.
12 September Monday - received an email, so I assumed all was well and that I might get a delivery by the end of the week.
22 September Thursday - having waited nearly two weeks I telephoned to inquire about my order. Was told that finance had not been agreed. I explained all of the above. Was asked to be patient for 24 hours before canceling as the finance department was not open. The Apple Store would get back to me. I gave my mobile number and it was agreed that a message would be left on my voicemail the next day.
23 September Friday - the next day - heard nothing.
No new iMac. Disappointed and upset. Am I being unreasonable? Do I cancel? :(

It's the best practice to use Time Machine and backup your music on an external HDD.
If you're Mac crashes in the future or you get a new Mac when you plug in your iPad it will not auto-sync, but it will warn you that you must erase your iPad before you can sync. You can still fairly easily get your music off of your iPad but you'll have to use a third-party program like Senuti to do it.
Drag and drop music in your iTunes library? You mean to and from your library? I dunno, explain further.

I have a number of JPEGs in grey color profile.
...
, I need to do this with tens and sometimes hundreds of images (x-rays) and importing each one into keynote is not very efficient. Is there a way to batch converting them from grayscale to RGB?
.
Whenever I see something where I need to repeat the same action multiple times, I always take a quick trip to Automator.
I just made a quick workflow with 3 actions:
1) Ask for Finder items
2) Copy Finder items (so you don't screw up the originals)
3) Apply ColorSync Profile to Images (I set it to use my calibrated Colorsync profile, but a generic RGB one would work)
I ran this workflow on a couple of greyscale images, and the result is an RGB image.
Hope this helps,
Tim

Sorry to be slow to respond. Like most Chrome apps, it's just a snippet packaged for the Chrome store that when activated, opens the Macrumors site. It shows up in the main Chrome menu for easy access, instead of in the harder-to-reach bookmarks menu. It's main advantage is in being a better alternative to a Macrumors bookmark for people like me who live in Google's ecosystem and/or use Chrome OS devices.
Ya PM me a link for the files or whatever. I'll give it a whirl.

I think that San Francisco will remain the home of Macworld. That attract an audience from around the world. Steve likes it there, which is of up most importance. I hope to go there just once for all the enthusiasm, Steve Jobs, and all the 3rd party exhibitors.

Any updates? I may go look at BB and Target this afternoon, but I assume Apple will have the most in stock. No waiting in line for me. If i have to wait till tomorrow when they'll undoubtedly restock, so be it.

I know the title's pretty vague, but that's basically my problem. I've been looking around the internet for a fix for it but hasn't seen one so far.
Everything else on it works, just the wifi bar is greyed out and says "No Wi-Fi"
I've tried to reset the network many times, and also tried to reboot it and also resetting the entire iphone. Also, my iPhone isn't jail broken.
Is this a hardware problem?
Also, would it be possible to trade it in. Although it's second hand, so I don't have the original box and receipt etc...
Please help, thank you!

Can't you save them to an external drive?
I do, but then if you want to actually use them in iMovie you have to import them into iMovie from the external. At least that's what I've been doing so far as I have not been able to find a workaround.
