There's always a chance that you may lose data, especially as disk failure could be the cause of the problems. Make sure you backup everything you need before doing anything else. But if the drive is not failing after all, then repairing the disk's file directory in disk utility should probably fix it.

Ok php sounds good, thanks.
Any idea what I should do for the framesets then?

Lol was just reading the overrated bands thread and whilst I don't think Biffy Clyro should "own", I really like the album, Bubbles is awesome.

You're a guy, go with white and be done with it. I'd be more concerned about where I'd be getting my alcohol from and making sure I've got some protection.

Hey all - last dumb question (I hope)
I've got a situation whereby the following happens.
Progmatically created view (because it's easiest for what I'm doing)
User taps button, Xib based view appears using following code to load the Xib based view (InfoView2)

Really want the new Macbook Pro, but I can't quite afford it at the moment. I know Apple include several smaller refreshes under the radar between major updates like the current one, but I'm not quite sure how far apart they come.
Also, at the moment they have the boring printer offer when you buy a system, anyone know how often the free iPod offers come around instead?
Cheers!

That depends on the applications. Some applications broke in Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard for example, and shortly after 10.6 became publicly available at the end of August developers released updates for their Leopard compatible software to make it also run in Snow Leopard.
When Lion is finally released, it will have less incompatible applications anyway, as many developers and non-developers are testing 10.7 right now.

That link is about the Core Duo, not the Core 2 Duo. I would suspect that come release, it will no longer be possible.
You are right. However, it is also a "known issue". So, lets hope Apple make Lion a CoreDuo compatible OS.

MplayerX - I absolutely love the way it looks with the borderless window but I can't seem to get it to work efficiently without skipping and choppiness.. watching a hd mkv over the network and it skips every 2 seconds.. same video files stream perfectly in movist or mplayer extended. Has anyone else had this problem?
Same for me! MPlayerX lags about every ten seconds and "skips" about 2 seconds.. quite annoying (even with non-HD movies)! Quicktime is choppy as well.
VLC does the best job, there are almost no lags using g-draft WiFi.

A daily visit to Macrumors and MacBytes can take a while but keeps me fully informed.
Keep up the great work.
Thanks

I've had Vudu for a while, since it is built in to my Samsung TV. Everyone gets a free video to start when you sign up, so I watched Hurt Locker a while back. Quality is fine, but the selection is really lacking, and the prices are too expensive. It is nice to have more options, but I've never used it since my free trial.

Its much much easier to edit the content into Wiki format (even if its basically entered as plain text) than having to do all the changes yourself.
Worst case scenario is that a revert has to be done, though it'd be extremely unlikely to happen basically unless the user was deliberately being malicious.
Basically even if you are unsure it'll look perfect (or even OK) edits are always more than welcome.

They're downloading only the actual number of bytes (900 bytes)
The 4 K is an artifact of the hard disk formatting system, it's a 900 byte file in a 4096 byte pigeon-hole.
So 900 bytes will be transmitted, and what it occupies on the destination machine depends on the block size of that particular machine.
Thanks
Trevor

Try a PRAM and SMC reset and see if that helps.

That's one of the reasons why I decided to get a logitech keyboard and mouse for my iMac instead of using the Apple ones. They have extra buttons that control itunes that don't require you to have itunes as the top program.

Maybe try another transcoder like an older version of Handbrake (http://mac.oldapps.com/handbrake.php) which still supports the .avi container, as that software you use seems like the software that gets spammed here from time to time.

How-To: Automating DVD & Blu-Ray (Backup, Encoding & Tagging) for Mac OS X 10.6 (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=805573)
Does your DVD player support other file formats and codecs?
What codec did you use? ( VideoSpec (http://laurent.ettouati.free.fr/english/) (I prefer that, though it hasn't been updated since 11/2009), MediaInfo Mac (http://mediainfo.massanti.com/) (10/2010) or MediaInfo (http://mediainfo.sourceforge.net/en) (10/2010, there is a Mac OS X version to download, VideoSpec and MediaInfo Mac are using the same library as MediaInfo) can help you find it out with the transcoded .avi )
