Great quality too. The quality of their HD downloads are impressive. Since they're owned by Wal-Mart, maybe they'll push the rental pricing down lower across the board.
By the way, good for Sony for offering a direct competitor to their built-in PSN video offerings on their own hardware. Of course, they get paid either way. I'm sure that makes a difference too.

Hey so I bought my friends old I phone 3gs. It is a 16gb iphone 3gs on 4.3.2 firmware. The sleep button is broken so I had to use pliers to put it into dfu. The problem is that every single jailbreak I have tried has failed. No matter what I do. I used redsn0w, but when I tried installing the custom firmware I gpt "error 21." So I looked on some forums and got a little further but then got "error 1601." Tried to fix it but nothing worked. I tried blackra1n, but it got stuck on "running." I tried limera1n but it also got stuck on running. Even redsn0w got stuck. I don't know what is wrong. Someone please help! I am running on a pc netbook by the way, because my mac mini is getting repaired.
The problem is the power button probably.
Maybe the pliers didnt do the job right and wasnt able to keep the button pressed for as long as needed to enter pwned DFU.
Also if you're on 4.3.2 there's no point on using incompatible JB tools like blackrain that worked only on 3.1.2 and limerain that was for 4.1

Yes its a fresh install and it goes completely away once Reeder closes (after about 1 min though)
Reeder for the Mac is still in beta right? I know iPhone/iPad versions are current. I guess just file a report with Apple.

Owning a Mac Pro 1,1 I have found it just as usable on Lion as it is on Snow Leopard (It is still a beta at the end of the day so of course there are going to be bugs).
I would say its pretty safe in support, the only reason Apple are removing support of the older generation is due to the 1st gen Core chips using 32bit architecture. The Mac Pro used a Xeon which shared traits with the Core 2 Duo, hence it is actually a 64 bit chip.

I'm tried direct connection but no luck. Is a regular CAT 5 cable sufficient? Or would I need a "crossover" cable?
Thanks,

 Very interesting.
Try and return it for a refund/replacement. I haven't heard any other complaints.

^^and i should probably add that it was a dell OEM copy, but in my defense when i bought it i had no clue what that meant lol
Here is your problem. The disk you are using is (probably) specially made to work only with the hardware it was sold with. Apple does the same thing with the disk that come with their computers, it will only work with a computer of the same model that it came with.

I bought an iPad2 and tried to sync it with my older G4 desktop. iTunes 4 isn't available for that OS, so to solve it, I decided to use my wife's much newer Macbook Pro. But what to do about all that music on my old iTunes library over at my desktop? The answer to me was to share my iTunes libraries. So now, I can see my complete iTunes library as a shared library on my wife's MacBook over our home network! Proud of this accomplishment, I sync my iPad, fully expecting to be able to add my complete iTunes library to it.
No such luck! The iPad sync page only shows my wife's libraries and playlists - not my shared libraries and playlists! Argh.
Help??

While the iPhone GPS is pretty good, it can have issues in areas with narrow streets and tall building or if you car has a windshield with a metallic coating.
Unfortunately the TomTom car kit does not support an external antenna, so it will only be marginally better.
Try a free nav app like MapQuest to see if you maintain a good lock. One thing to keep in mind is that if you leave your phone in a pouch I assume it is either in your pocket or somewhere lower in the body of the car. Simply putting the phone on the dashboard can significantly improve the GPS signal.

Find a ton of front screen protectors. I just want a good cheap clear skin for the back only. Been rocking a Speck case pretty much from day 1 but really love the form factor of the iPod touch 4. Shame to keep the beauty of the design hidden.
Any good cheap choices for just the back?

Using an HD video camera, I'm trying to record a live presentation of a person standing next to an HDTV. In the viewfinder of the video camera, the speaker's fleshtones are fine, but everything on the TV screen has a blue cast. Any idea what's causing this, and how to fix it?

If your monitor is 1440x900, you should be using the 1360x768 (or something like that) resolution. I had it running on my 19" Acer for a while and had to do that.
Plus, you can't adjust as many options with VGA as opposed to Component.

For those that are interested in anime, I just noticed that Trigun is now being streamed on Netflix. It's a very good anime series and I recommend watching at least the first six episodes.
It's a good one, worth watching.

Try buying TV series instead of illegally downloading them off the net.

Thanks for your reply.
The optical disc is fine. Been reading and writing DVDs with no problems.
The file downloaded is BootCamp_3.1_32-bit.exe
I can mount and open the Win 7 DVD, under Mac OS-X, so again the drive is reading the DVD OK.
